What you'll be stepping into
To assist in preparing instructional materials, conducting lectures, supervising and evaluating students’ academic programmes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares lectures and delivers them to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Sets tests, examinations and coursework.
Administers and invigilates tests and examinations.
Marks tests, coursework and examination scripts, compiles and grades examination results.
Guides and advises students on their academic performance.
Attends to students' non-academic challenges and refers those that need further counselling and guidance.
Conducts research and disseminates research findings through conferences, seminars, and publications.
Supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students undertaking research projects.
Conducts seminars and tutorials.
Carries out official administrative duties in the department as directed by the Head of Department.
Contributes to the University and wider society through community service
Person Specification:
Should have a Master’s degree in any pharmacy-related field from a recognized institution.
Should have a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from a recognized institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.8.
Must have a valid membership Certificate with the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda at the time of application.
Should have proven academic ability in research, publication, and teaching.
Should be computer literate.
Should have a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience at a recognized academic institution of higher learning.
